SAV--EWR--Colgate--Albany
At 6:30PM, Nan drove us to the Savannah airport. The flight was to Newerk (EWR), it was very bumpy-lots of turbulence because of the rain storm. It was very cold and wet when we landed (38 degrees). We got our rental (Red Nissan Versa) and were off to Colgate (4 hours). It rained the entire time, light rain but the whole 4 hours. Alex got more and more excited as we got closer and closer. This was very much a closure visit for him. He has so much fun showing me around- he showed me the library, Psychology building where he did most of his studies, the Coop, the brand new hockey arena which he even hadn't seen before, and the Ho Science building where he also had classes. We of course had to go to Slices for pizza which was his favorite place. We also went to the Colgate Inn for the famous Tollhouse Cookie Pie. Alex just loved coming back! The rain was started to come down harder and we were getting pretty wet, so it was time to head to Albany for our airbnb stay. It was a nice place with a cute, energetic dog. We were exhausted when we arrived so we talked to Keturah (owner) for a bit and then got ready for bed. We were this airbnb's first customers actually so we gave her some tips/suggestions-but her place was perfect for us, comfortable bed, easy to find, and she left us little candy treats when we arrived.
